  • - Can the FireShield® be integrated into a wooden structure?
    Yes, the FireShield® can also be used in wooden buildings. The FireShield® elements are usually delivered directly to the wood ceiling element manufacturer, who installs the FireShield® fire barrier in the wood elements in his factory. This ensures both fire protection and fall protection at all stages of construction. Because the FireShield® side wall is built on a 25mm fire protection board, lining the recess is not necessary in most cases. The FireShield® elements are made to measure according to the recess plan and therefore only have to be placed in the existing opening and fixed to the side of the reveal with screw anchors. Special situations: Poured wood-hybrid ceiling: The FireShield® is conventionally fastened to the formwork and set in concrete - mechanical fastening with screw anchors is not necessary. Wood-hybrid ceiling concrete elements: The FireShield® is attached mechanically to the side of the wooden structure. The concrete elements connect laterally to the FireShield®. Wooden ceiling: The FireShield® is delivered directly to the element builder and installed or placed in the niche on site and mechanically fastened to the side.

    The openings on the FireShield®, as well as the fire protection on the existing openings, are carried out by a trained specialist company. This gives you a clean, all-in-one solution from a single source. Since safety is our top priority, our partners go through annual refresher courses in order to always be aware of the dangers of working in the climbing zones.
  • - What are the main advantages of FireShield®?
    The use of FireShield® recess elements in the riser zones brings you both financial and practical advantages. At the same time, the expansion of building services is accelerated. Since the FireShield® replaces the formwork, stripping, fall protection and sealing, lower floors can already be developed, although upper floors are still in the shell construction phase. In addition, fire protection EI90 and fall protection with an approved area load of 800kg/m² are always guaranteed during the entire construction phase. In addition, the FireShield® is always waterproof when set in concrete.
  • - With what bases are the elements made?
    The FireShield® elements are always pulled out by us, the company amcf ag, according to the recess and coordination plan. You will therefore receive the tender documents for the FireShield® elements as well as for the fire protection on the FireShield® from us. These documents can be integrated directly into the Devis Baumeister and Brandschutz. In order to order the elements, the formwork tarpaulins can be sent to the respective FireShield® partner. He can read the right sizes directly from the plans and then order the elements from amcf ag. This means that every FireShield® is a one-off product and tailored to your needs.
  • - When are the openings made on the FireShield®?
    In principle, it is up to the construction management itself when you want the openings on the FireShield®. The FireShield® team recommends only having the openings created by the FireShield® partner once the floor above has been concreted with the other FireShield® elements. This ensures watertightness and the expansion of the building services can already begin.
  • - Who orders the FireShield® elements?
    The elements are usually put out to tender and ordered directly from the master builder. The creation of the excerpts and the tender documents is always provided by the FireShield® team at no extra cost.
  • - Do I have to reckon with a loss of space when using the FireShield®?"
    No, you won't lose any space. Since the FireShield® is built on a 25mm thick side wall and the space after the armoring up to the recess is 30mm, the FireShield® can be used in this space. Thus, the light dimension is retained. The only special situation is the use of the FireShield® in adjacent earthquake walls. Since the side wall of the FireShields® must not be inserted into the static wall, the side wall is provided with screw anchors and delivered. The screw anchors are then concreted into the wall.
  • - Can the FireShield® also be used in residential construction?
    Yes, including many advantages. Since the new implementation tests, the FireShield® elements are also increasingly being used in residential buildings. Not only can various fire protection components, such as the use of specific fire protection insulation or fire protection sleeves in the breakthrough area, be dispensed with, but the watertightness is always guaranteed by the FireShield®. This means that the expansion of the building services can already begin, although the upper floors are still under construction. The FireShield® is also ideal for smaller openings, for example for individual media. The openings can be easily processed via the FireShield® partner and replace costly core drilling.
  • - Who moves the FireShield® elements?
    The FireShield® elements are moved by the builder. Since he is in direct contact with the FireShield® partner, you define the delivery dates and the batch sizes together. The master builder then receives a numbered cut-out plan from the FireShield® partner, in which all FireShield® elements are shown with the corresponding cut-out positions.
  • - Can the FireShield® be integrated into an existing opening?
    Yes, the FireShield® can be installed in an existing opening. For this purpose, the opening is measured on site by a FireShield® partner. The FireShield® is then produced to the exact dimensions and set and fastened in the existing opening on site using lateral screw anchors.
  • - Are there standard sizes?
    The elements are always pulled out based on the recess plan. Standard sizes are therefore not provided.
  • - Does the HVAC planning have to be adapted to the FireShield®?
    No, the planning does not have to be specifically adapted to the FireShield®. The media can be spaced the same as in a conventional insulation system.
  • - Can the FireShield® be used for RF1 sections?
    Since the airtight RF1 annular gap seal can be installed very easily and cost-effectively in the breakthrough area, a FireShield® is worthwhile in every situation.
  • - Which ventilation insulations may be used in the FireShield®?
    Flumroc and Paroc ventilation insulation may be used.
  • - Does the FireShield® have maximum dimensions?
    The scope of delivery of the FireShield® elements starts at 10cm x 10cm and reaches a maximum unsupported dimension of 2.6m x 20m. As soon as the maximum depth of 2.6m is exceeded, an additional encapsulated support must be planned. The position of the wearer is determined and planned by the FireShield® team itself based on the existing coordination.
